Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 stick butter (salted)

Lemon Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon heavy cream

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add milk and sour cream. Stir until combined.
  • Fold in blueberries gently.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and heavy cream. Set aside.
  • Place butter into a baking dish and melt in the oven.
  • Spread batter evenly over the melted butter.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Pour glaze over warm biscuits before serving.
  • For even more lemon flavor, add fresh lemon zest directly into the glaze or batter.

Notes

Can I Use Buttermilk Instead?

Absolutely. Traditional butter swim biscuits use buttermilk, but the milk and sour cream combination creates an extra rich texture.
